Breaking Out of My Shell

I remember the first day of my first sessions at TalkShop. I was hesitant to join because I thought I was there just for the overview of what the workshop is really all about. But as seven sessions passed by, I’ve learned a lot about how public speaking can be made possible not just through correct grammar and diction but also the right posture and confidence. What I’ve also realized in every session I attended, is that there are people, mostly older and working, who are having the same problems in speaking as I do.Ever since then, I’ve become more confident in my own skin and personality and have sort of improved the articulation of my thoughts – effectively transforming them into spoken words.

Despite all of the improvements I’ve made, it’s still going to be a long journey for me in becoming a better and more confident speaker. I will do this through my university course’s designed conferences and conventions. Even my group of friends can help me in this commitment!

I thank Talkshop so much for the opportunity, for helping me gradually get out of my shell by enabling me to speak more clearly. I also pray that they’ll continue to help others who are like me, who are struggling or having difficulties in oral communication. I’ll definitely drop by again!
