Wala Nga Palang Forever

Time flies fast when you are having fun…That was my thought the moment I stood in front of my classmates and was about to deliver my final speech in my last public speaking session at Talkshop. I have enjoyed every session and almost forgot that there is an end to it. #walaNgaPalangForever

What made the sessions fun? There are three things, I think, that are worth-mentioning:

Firstly, the discussions and activities were very challenging and stimulating. Ms. Sheila Viesca, our teacher, was helpful and encouraging on how to do things right. Sessions were jammed with activities designed for us to apply what we have learned the same day, and at the end of each was a heart-felt fulfillment that I have learned and done something well.

Secondly, I met interesting and different people. There would always be new faces attending each session. These people were from different fields, of different backgrounds, and each had a different fascinating story to share. It is because of this diversity that every single session that I had at Talkshop is unique in its very own way.

Lastly, I saw myself improved. I know for a fact that I won’t get better at public speaking in one night. It requires continuous practice. My weekly sessions really helped build that practice. Now, when I talk in front of the crowd, it does not feel that dreadful anymore and the flow of words is smoother than before. It feels great!

I may have reached the end of my sessions at Talkshop but I know my journey towards being a good speaker has just started. I am very grateful to Talkshop for pointing me to the right direction. #Just the beginning
