Civil Service Commission Accredits TalkShop for the 3rd Time

TalkShop celebrates its 21st year as the Civil Service Commission renews for the third time its
accreditation as a Learning and Development Institution.  Valid for 3 years, the accreditation authorizes
TalkShop to conduct programs within its areas of expertise such as English communication, personal
effectiveness, corporate protocol, and management communication.
The Civil Service Commission Program on Accreditation aims to build a Training Community of Practice
in the civil service through mutual engagement, joint enterprise, and sharing of best practices. Based on
a set of standards, the evaluation process is so rigorous that only a select few eventually become CSC
Accredited Learning and Development Institutions in every period. Nine years ago, TalkShop was already
in the roster of the first 10 training firms accredited to enhance the knowledge and skills of civil servants and help them competently and efficiently serve the public.

This accreditation renewal comes at the height of the pandemic-driven shift from face-to-face to virtual
classes. As the new normal takes shape, online learning has become integral in continuing to address
competency gaps in the workforce. The Civil Service Commission, in fact, encourages government
officials and employees to take advantage of the accessibility and convenience of webinars and virtual
trainings to pursue professional improvement amid the restrictions of the pandemic.

TalkShop navigated the shift as early as summer of 2020, and it continues to adapt – simultaneously
upgrading relevant technology, launching extensive refreshers and coaching for its training consultants,
and repurposing modules to respond to the demands and maximize the advantages of online learning.
Sheila Viesca, TalkShop CEO & Founder, proudly shares, “TalkShop has been in the service of civil
servants throughout our 2 decades.  Every training program we have completed for various government
agencies – for the DOH, DepEd, DTI, DOTr, DBM, DPWH, DOST, NEDA, DBP, GSIS, PCSO – and for a long
list of LGUs – is a badge of honor that has inspired us to be better for the next one.  The renewal of our
CSC accreditation emboldens our team to take on the challenges of a learning and development industry
reshaped by the pandemic.  This same pandemic has opened the gates to the democratization of
learning through technology.  TalkShop is committed to be at the forefront of this movement.”
