Time and Stress Management Training for Executives

TalkShop time and stress management training for executivesChallenging work situations that require extraordinary powers from a normal person seem to be happening more and more these days. It is not enough that an individual handles his challenges as they happen. He must also know how to switch roles to come up with concrete and practical solutions and change mindset to anticipate various concerns may be thrown his way.

TalkShop CEO Sheila Viesca shares what executives can do to manage time and stress better:

1. Set your goals, identify your priorities and focus on how much time you will spend on each one. One main cause of stress is not being able to prepare for how to go about day to day activities.

2. Evaluate your strategies and plans of action. Determine which areas will be most challenging for you and areas where you will excel. This way, you can ally with the right people and invest in the necessary tools and trainings.

3. Know the people you work with. Understand where they are coming from and ensure that they are with you in your corporate directions.

4. Re-visit your short term and long-term goals on a periodic basis. Commend yourself and your team for accomplishments and be able to challenge everyone positively if there are areas for improvement.

5. Deal with your sources of stress the moment you identify them. The best practice any executive can do when faced with a difficult situation is to deal with it right away instead of letting it drag on.

6. Keep a record of transactions and discussions that you can use as point of reference and comparison. Having a journal of the daily activities and principles you have applied make it easier to repeat successes and stay on track.

7. Simplify the processes. Make productivity synonymous to quality by making tasks and metrics easy to understand, carry-out, and validate.

Viesca adds, “Ever growing challenges are a fact of life. Executives who know how to deal with stress and manage their time effectively are able to live more comfortably as they create better situations for themselves and contribute greatly to achieve their organization’s goals.
