UNDP Managers Complete TalkShop Leadership Training

United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) collaborated with premier management communication consultancy TalkShop for Leadership Communications Training.

The program was designed to develop the proficiency of UNDP Middle Managers in communicating for a wide range of purposes as they navigate their potentials as leaders. On Nov 25, 2020, UNDP Middle Managers will graduate from the program that has run for 8 compact sessions from 2019-2020.

All participants have strong leadership exposure and service background – prerequisites for them to be able to maximize learning activities simulating communication scenarios within a diverse organizational setting and for varied internal and external stakeholders.

Dr. Sheila Viesca, TalkShop CEO and Founder, has conducted the training with highlights that include

  • Creating the right impression;
  •  Effective messaging;
  •  Organizing content for oral and written presentation;
  •  Engagement in high-level discussions in person, on the phone, on broadcast media, and online;
  •  Handling media interviews;
  •  Managing difficult conversations among others.

Progressive and continuing leadership training is essential for emerging leaders within UNDP.

As the United Nations agency that aims to eradicate poverty and reduce inequalities and exclusion, UNDP carries out mandates equally inspiring and exacting.

Those mandates call for individuals motivated and highly trained to step up and lead the way for others to follow and transform.

After all, 170 countries and territories seek the assistance of UNDP for policies that introduce and sustain socio-economic development.
