Values of Transformational Leaders

imagesTransformational leaders know there is way for everyone to win through true listening. They don’t compromise.  They feel no reason for anyone to sacrifice something he values. Instead, they negotiate so that all participating parties win.

They also tend to groom employees in the same way. Transformational leaders listen more than they talk and end up showing others how to clear out the blockages and false values so that what is remaining is true and authentic. They help others become their best selves by helping all stakeholders realize what is truly important.

Transformational leaders have already recognized their own values and have learned to act upon them in courage by living a life of integrity and values. This is the key to personal and corporate success.

The old way of doing business, where manipulation is used to match wanted values through reward or punishment is starting to fall away. A more inclusive and holistic leadership style emerges based on true listening and then acting upon what is heard.

Once the true and authentic listening occurs, awareness emerges both in the individual and the organization.  Transformational leaders tend to foster this type of sensibility, awareness, courage, and responsibility to act, simply by being themselves and inspiring others to do the same. – Mark Shryock | TalkShop Leadership Coach
