The TalkShop Session today is about speeches and I think it is beneficial that we are able to practice speaking in front of an audience. The most noticeable part for me is the “note that speech is just like a regular dialogue.” Ms. Cecile Matulac handled the graduation preparation well even for a short period. We are now prepared and rehearsed for our upcoming graduation and speech delivery and I can say that I had a really good time.

Today in TalkShop, I learned a lot of details when it comes to reciting a specific statement or poetry with feelings and also how to pronounce words the right way. The design of the training today is very helpful because it helps us to prepare for our upcoming TalkShop graduation. I like it most when we recited our pieces in front and when Ms. Cecile Matulac guided us to deliver it right. She is very kind and not boring. She would laugh with the jokes of my colleagues and at the same time she shared interesting ideas that would guide us in public speaking. The transformative effect that TalkShop training did to me is that I am now able to perform well in my conversations and presentations and will be as prepared in our mini-graduation.

It is another fun-filled yet effective session under a very capable trainer and mentor from TalkShop! I learned so much about public speaking and speech eloquence. Speech looks easy when you are just listening but if you are the speaker, it is a different story. However, I was wrong because this training with TalkShop reminded me so much that it is not hard at all and that you can deliver it as long as you work on the basics. A lot has improved in the past months. I totally had no idea on how I am going to use everything and relate it to our work but now everything seems to come out naturally. One word: Excellent! The approach to each training is simple but useful. I like it a lot. The TalkShop Consultants are patient and they adjust to the level of the trainees. It was a very refreshing session with TalkShop away from the techie things and phone manners we have. Ms. Cecile Matulac shows how to deliver the speeches in a manner that allows us to emphasize the word in the way we speak. Ms. Cecil taught us how to become a good speaker by showing us the great ways and emphasizing on the tone or how we speak keywords. Again, TalkShop had a well designed session. I love the poem part because I love poems very much. Ms. Cecile Matulac is a very patient instructor. She teaches us well and it was another fun session.

I enjoyed the session today with TalkShop especially the part where we recited the chosen poem for us. It was ironic that someone like me who’s an agnostic was chosen to recite a verse in the Bible. Ecclesiastes has always been my favorite book as it proves that everything has its opposites—much like the beginning and an end. Because of this, I learned so much beyond speaking and projecting myself well in front of others.

During the two-day seminar in TalkShop, my confidence leveled up and I believe that I will also be like the TalkShop Consultants, who are both experts. I learned the techniques and the efficient way in communicating to a large number of people. The workshop was very well designed in such an interesting manner. What I liked about the workshop was the “Tsunami walk” and the Power Pause for confidence building. The TalkShop Consultants are experts. They delivered the seminar in a very efficient and effective way. Probably what transformed is the confidence in me and I believe that after the seminar I would be more efficient in dealing with a large audience.
