TalkShop Trains the Regional Managers of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO)

The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) Regional Managers, upon the endorsement of the Civil Service Commission,  availed several CSC-accredited training from TalkShop.   PCSO is the principal government agency for raising and providing social welfare funds and charities that benefit the nation.

PCSO’s main products are the sweepstakes and the lottery games. Over the years, it has introduced various game types and  innovations. Created in 1934, the PCSO has adhered to its mission and purpose to uplift the quality of life of the Filipino people. The agency has established itself as a model government institution with its many projects for the disadvantaged sectors of society.

With the provision of funds for health programs and other charities as its main thrust, the PCSO involves itself in various social welfare and development programs. The main programs include endowment fund/quality health care program, individual medical assistance program, community outreach program, ambulance donation program, national calamity and disaster program, and hospital renovation and improvement of health care facilities.  The agency also actively contributes to the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Comprehensive and Integrated Shelter and Urban Development Financing Program (CISUDFP), Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), National Commission on Indigenous People (NCIP), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Philippine Centennial Commission (PCC), Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), and the Quirino Memorial Medical Center (QMMC).  Most Filipinos know PCSO as the leading contributor  to charitable institutions engaged in giving welfare services to children and the youth who are either abandoned or exploited, as well as the elderly, and the physically and mentally handicapped.

TalkShop’s Systematic Managerial Analysis is a workshop on decision making and situational analysis that allows the agency’s managers to function more strategically and effectively in both their internal and external operations.  The program consultant is TalkShop’s Management and OD Specialist Carilina Coloma.

Their second module is Executive Management Program to be conducted by the TalkShop Team led by CEO Sheila Viesca. The contents and activities will focus mainly on helping leaders identify management issues and implement management techniques for the higher efficiency and productivity of their offices and team members.
