Asian Institute of Management Taps Sheila Viesca Anew

TalkShop English proficiency

The Management Development graduate students of the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) take the English communication proficiency training with TalkShop CEO Sheila Viesca.  Participants are international executives, middle managers, and senior leaders of various organizations from the public and private sectors who train to become better managers.

They are the key people who lead their administrative units, craft strategies, manage teams, projects, and  financial matters.  Ultimately, they are the game changers who are expected to enact the organizational vision and inspire support for institutional goals.  A major factor in their success as graduate students and leaders in their particular field and country is their excellence in communication.

TalkShop’s program for AIM started 4 years ago as an additional tool to help the graduate students meet the demands of their MDM modules.   The comprehensive training exposes students to practical communication exercises and critical thinking activities that hone in on their writing and speaking skills.

I like the TalkShop classes because I came from a country where English is not the first language. TalkShop and Miss Sheila Viesca helped me lot for English improvement, communication, speaking, and writing. TalkShop is the best English school in the Philippines.

The TalkShop’s lessons are helpful and effective. After a series of sessions they conducted, I learned a lot of ideas on how to improve my speaking and writing. The students were able to speak in a confident manner during the Anything Goes topic. Miss Sheila Viesca makes constructive criticism on areas that need improvement. She speaks well, and conveys idea in a way that students could easily understand.

I learned a lot from TalkShop communication even though I only attended twice. The workshop was creatively designed, and I like how nobody gets to leave without speaking. It made an impact to me on areas I need to improve and also on how to take corrective measures.

The workshop provided by TalkShop included review of grammar, sentence construction, speech, and debate. While only a few were able to complete all sessions, as I myself missed two, I can say that I have learned so much in the sessions I attended, as all the lessons were taught with practical applications, and Miss Sheila Viesca is patient and professional. I learned good grammar review and sentence construction review, short speeches – how to make powerful speeches, and good manners and gestures.

Based on my observation, those who were participating in the TalkShop classes with Miss Shiela Viesca may be lucky in the future for speaking and writing in English.  I hope that AIM will take initiative for student participation in the wonderful  program with TalkShop. It was good for me; it will help me in my future activities.

TalkShop’s lessons were helpful. It improved my English skills. I might be able to do my MRA better, as good practical tips on grammar were given by Miss Sheila Viesca. TalkShop’s classes were helpful and helped me improve my English skills, so I attended the classes every day and enjoyed them.  TalkShop encouraged me to express myself freely in speaking and writing.

I found the sessions quite interesting, as they encouraged everyone to participate. Most of the time students are reluctant as they have fear of messing up, but TalkShop and Miss Sheila Viesca has helped them to lessen the fear. Although I have been writing English for a long time, I have never learned the foundation of writing English, which is the core of writing.  Thank you TalkShop.

In my opinion, the TalkShop’s lessons were very helpful for non-native English speaker students to improve the skills on speaking, writing, and pronunciation. In addition to that, the subjects presented were clear, well-organized, and understandable.  The workshop designs is very good, and Miss Sheila Viesca has a very professional teaching methodology.

The classes in TalkShop were focused on speaking, writing, reading, and grammar. These skills will be very useful since the focus was on the type of English Development managers would need. As the students were encouraged to speak, read, and write, they became more confident and skilled than before, and I, too, have become more confident in speaking, especially during presentations.

The design of the workshop was as much as an expert and professional could do. They were practical. I liked the participatory design of it. Miss Sheila Viesca and the other consultants were very good and they were able to build our confidence.

The topics in the TalkShop class were very relevant and well-organized. The charming style of teaching kept the attention of students drawn towards the teacher. Many students including me appreciated the personality, teaching style, and strategies of Miss Sheila Viesca.
